The Authority’s mandate is to maintain, operate, improve and regulate all scheduled sea ports situated along Kenya’s coastline

Apart from all sea ports on the Kenyan coastline, the Authority manages Inla​nd Waterways as well as Inland Container Depots at Embakasi, Eldoret and Kisumu.
