Sustainability
KPA advocates for protection of the environment and marine ecosystem for conservation and sustainability. The Authority has adopted a Green Port Policy that is being implemented for sustainable and environment friendly port operations and protection of marine ecosystem and resources. We have over the last two decades, also pursued partnerships with the community in a bid to provide social value and create positive impact in society through the Corporate Social Investment program dubbed Tunahusika. Our CSI policy is rooted in the organization’s values, guided by international standards and best practices, and driven by our aspiration for excellence in the overall performance of the business. We have invested enormously in improving sectors of education, health, sports as well as environmental conservation initiatives aimed at assisting and developing our local community through reaching out to address specific socio-economic needs for their improved and prosperous future.
