We value our transit market clientele and in order to take Port services closer to her clients, we have established regional liaison offices in Kampala, Kigali and Goma. Transit Customers are now able to get personalized, real-time, and immediate support to services and queries within their home country substantially enhancing efficiency and reducing the cost and time of doing business.

Kigali

Rwanda

The Kigali Liaison office was officially opened on 19th July 2013 and is located on the 6th floor of the Grand Pension Plaza in Kigali, Rwanda.

It was established to enhance trade facilitation and strengthen regional integration between Kenya and Rwanda. Positioned strategically in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital, the office serves a direct link between Rwandan stakeholders and KPA’s main Port services in Mombasa and the Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Naivasha.

Kampala

Uganda

Kampala Liaison Office was established in 1996 to bring port services closer to our clientele in Uganda. The office is located on the 5th Floor of Crested Towers (Short Tower) along Hannington Road, Kampala – Uganda.

Kampala liaison office plays a crucial role in strengthening KPA’s presence and service delivery in Uganda.

Core Functions of the Kampala Liaison Office:

  • Customer Support: Providing immediate, on-the-spot assistance for port-related services.
  • Local Payment Facilitation: Enabling the payment of port charges within Uganda for greater convenience.
  • Query Management: Addressing customer inquiries efficiently and professionally.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitating direct, face-to-face interactions with key stakeholders to foster strong relationships.

Goma

DRC

The Authority is in the process of establishing an office in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in the DRC and Burundi markets. This will provide closer engagement with key stakeholders, enhance service delivery, and position the Authority to respond more effectively to the growing trade volumes and customer needs in the region.
