SUDI A. MWASINAGO PROFILE.

Sudi Mwasinago is seasoned port professional with the ability to consistently exceed performance targets & exceptional leadership skills with over 25 years of tested and proven logistics and maritime industry experience.  He joined Kenya Ports Authority in 1995 from Kenya Commercial Bank. He is the General Manager Operations and Harbour Master. In this position he is the overall in charge of Operations in the port overseeing Marine operations, Container operations, Conventional cargo operations, Inland container depots and Inland waterways. 

Mwasinago is a trained Port Management professional having attained a Master of Science degree in Maritime affairs, specializing in Port Management from the World Maritime University in Malmo, Sweden in 2006, where he was the student' representative of the Port Management faculty. Mwasinago also studied Port Business Management at the Montana School of Business studies in Missoula, United States of America, Container Terminal Development in Tokyo, Japan and port operations and management in Le Havre, France.

He is credited with introducing the internationally applied fixed berth windows system of Port planning at the Port of Mombasa which has streamlined Mombasa Port operations. He spearheaded and revamped the transshipment business which has grown Port traffic and volumes culminating into Mombasa Port being a transhipment hub in the region. In his stint as the General Manager, Kisumu Port, he Worked together with a Government multi-agency team to revitalise Kisumu port to a vibrant and functioning port facility with a great business potential in the Lake Victoria region.

Mwasinago is a Member of various professional bodies such as the Institute of Directors and the Operations Management Society of Kenya.
