Kenya Ports Authority Bujumbura Liaison Office officially opened in Bujumbura on January 31st 2014 to provide dedicated port services to the local business community.
Located on the 6th floor of Ultimate Tower along Avenue Ngendandumwe in the Central Business District of Bujumbura, the liaison office has brought services of Mombasa port closer to KPA customers in Burundi and Eastern DRC by building strong relationships, cultivating good will and resolving customers’ issues swiftly.
The core activities undertaken by the Bujumbura liaison office hinge on business development and customer care initiatives whereby frequent customer visits are undertaken to establish industry wide trends and also collect and collate issues faced by the traders with regard to the Port of Mombasa and the Northern Corridor at large.
The liaison office also aims at facilitating online payments of port charges from Bujumbura thus reducing the travelling inconveniences and unnecessary time in money transfers.
